Solar Decathlon – a biennial competition hosted by the US Department of Energy to promote the application of solar technologies in buildings. In January 2012, the DOE selected twenty university teams to compete in the Solar Decathlon 2013, which will be held in Irvine, California. During the week-long competition, the twenty homes designed and built by student teams will be open to the public and evaluated by a jury. As one of only two European teams invited to SD 2013 (the other being from the Czech Republic), we look forward to competing with the best from the United States and Canada!
